About Polaris Med Tech
Every project personally led by a senior engineer

Technical leadership
Built cleanrooms. Prototyped pacemakers. Running a national device manufacturing facility.
Michael has spent a decade in medical device development. He's Engineering Director of MAISI at Kings College London, a national facility at St Thomas' Hospital that manufactures active implants and surgical instruments for first-in-human use. Before that, Smith & Nephew manufacturing operations. He's built a cleanroom from an empty room, and taken devices in cardiac, dental oncology, and infection control from concept to functional prototype.
One technical lead throughout. No handoffs.

Three principles behind every project
Built for compliance, not retrofitted
Design control and documentation built in from the start. We don't run MHRA submissions. We build devices ready to pass them.
Designed for manufacture, not just demonstration
If it can't be built at scale, it isn't solved.
No black-box engineering
You see every decision, every trade-off, every risk.
